IF THE FIRST AMENDMENT PROTECTS STATEMENTS BY CRIMINALS THAT ARE OFFENSIVE TO THE VICTIMS OF THEIR CRIME, HOW CAN IT NOT PROTECT STATEMENTS THAT ARE OFFENSIVE TO ANYONE ELSE?
The government can’t forbid speech simply because it offends. What’s so hard to understand about that?
